COMMUNITY FIRST! VILLAGE

One of our community engagement partnerships is building relationships with folks recovering from chronic homelessness out at Community First Village. We’re hosting a monthly Taco Tuesday dinner and finding other creative ways to get to know these amazing people. By showing up again and again for folks who have often been forced to the margins, we build trust and felt safety which are crucial to the healing process.

Dustin & Christina Hite, fellow ANC’ers who live at the Village as intentional neighbors commented, “We believe that being a faithful presence is a slow, intentional practice of allowing God to work in and through our lives as we go about our days. We create environments that are welcoming to all and centered on the ways of Jesus. ANC can help build on that relational momentum and have a blast listening to the rich stories of our neighbors!”

OUT YOUTH

Out Youth serves Central Texas LGBTQIA+ (lesbian/gay/bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning, intersex, and asexual) youth and their allies with programs and services to ensure these promising young people develop into happy, healthy, successful adults.

Founded in 1990, Out Youth has grown and changed over the years, but we’ve always retained our most important facet – providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth to come together, receive support, and make friends who understand who they are.

We host a variety of programs and services for youth and provide trainings and resources for parents, teachers, and community members.
